I was very sad to realize,
that once again, the people get what they deserve. In a country Of the EU, where corruption according to the statistics is top of the list problem, where wages are among the lowest, working hours the longest, where products and life cost is extremely expensive, where a very important part of our forests was burned during this summer and our politicians from all the major political parties thought it was ok to quarel for trivial political issues, in this country the people give to a very big extent the right to the same politicians to go on doing the only thing they are good in doing...
Appearing on tv., making announcements, getting payed more money, when everyone else gets the same, posing false dilemmas to the people and worrying whether their children will, later on get their position in the Greek parliament. And strangely, they seem to be doing all right because people here, in the state of Greece, vote not for the actions and decisions of their politicians, but because the only common denominator is because they are sweet or goodlooking, they recognise their surname, or because they see them often in tv.
As far as I am concerned, I felt obliged to write this small protest in English, because today I am ashamed of what goes on around me. And today for this 24 hours, I am ashamed that I am Greek.
